World Series Woes For Phillies After No-Hitter: Philly Sports Chatter
The World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies is now tied at 2 after the Houston Astros threw the Fall Classic's second no-hitter ever.

PHILADELPHIA, PA —All the euphoria that escalated into an earthquake-like pitch at Citizens Bank Park Tuesday was reduced to a whisper Wednesday.
The second no-hitter ever in World Series history was tossed by the Houston Astros Wednesday night, sending shockwaves through Citizens Bank Park after it looked like the Philadelphia Phillies were going to clinch the championship at home Thursday following Game 3's home run barrage.
But here we are for Game 5 and the home-field advantage is gone. It will be back to Houston for the final two games over the weekend after a travel day Friday.

And if the Phillies fall Thursday night, in what may be a bullpen game, this series could be over if the Astros hold a 3-2 lead. They are the better, deeper team. The Phillies were just the ones with the magic and momentum driving them through the playoffs while playing with house money since nobody predicted they would be in this situation.
But that momentum seems to be shifting now.

And we Philadelphia sports fans are getting that sinking feeling in the pit of our stomachs that maybe the good times are over. Maybe the team gave it everything it had at home for Game 3 to put on a show for its fans who hadn't had a World Series home game since 2009.
It's now a three-game series with the Astros holding the home field for two of those games and having a much deeper bullpen and more solid lineup to get to the finish line.
No one is rooting for the Astros. Everyone wants the Phillies to win.
But after what happened Wednesday night when Astros starter Cristian Javier kept the Phillies in check with six innings of no-hit ball before the bullpen kept runs and hits off the board, the air in the tires has gone out.
If the Phillies fall flat Thursday night, they might need some more miracles to pull out this World Series championship.
It's been a playoff full of them. Let's hope they have a few more magic tricks left in that hat.
