⢠Franklin County opens senior centers longer amid extreme heat (localnews1.org) ā Waynesboro seniors can cool off at the county senior center at 11359 Anthony Highway, open weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Chambersburg and Greencastle centers add evening hours during this weekās dangerous heat. Franklin County officials may extend hours further, and residents can call the Area Agency on Aging or check the county website for updates and activity details.

⢠Red Cross declares blood shortage; donation locations in the Midstate (abc27.com) ā Waynesboro residents can respond to the Red Crossās emergency blood shortage by donating at LCBC Church on Midvale Road on July 20, alongside several Franklin County drives in Chambersburg and Mercersburg. With donations down since May, officials stress that every blood type is urgently needed across Pennsylvania and the nation throughout late July.
