• Luzerne County's recent delinquent tax auction hits another record sales high (hazletontimes.com) — A Luzerne County tax auction just set a new sales record, and one of the standout purchases was a South Broad Street double-block in West Hazleton that sold for $144,000, far above its starting bid. The sale helps local governments, including West Hazleton, recover overdue real estate taxes and keeps hundreds of properties moving back into productive use. Residents can also track future auctions online if they're interested in bidding.
