1 Reportedly Dead Following Bus Crash At Middle School In Chesco

One person has reportedly passed away following a major crash involving a school bus in Chester County earlier this week.

UWCHLAN, PA — One person has reportedly passed away following a major crash involving a school bus in Chester County earlier this week.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 7 at around 1:39 p.m. on Route 113, in front of Lionville Middle School.

A vehicle carrying three individuals collided with a school bus from the Wolfington Bus Company, police said.

The bus driver was not harmed, and no children were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, but the other vehicle was severely damaged, leaving the three occupants trapped, according to authorities.

All three were removed from the crash scene with help from the Lionville FIre Company, West Whiteland Fire Company, and Uwchlan Township Police Department.

They were transported to Paoli Hospital by Uwchlan Ambulance Corps for treatment. Two remain in critical condition, while one has passed away, according to a report in the Daily Local News.

Bus routes were delayed in the Downingtown Area School District following the crash. Forensic mapping of the crash was completed on the scene, and the accident remains under investigation.
