2 Chesco Residents Reentered Country After Being Deported: Feds
One threatened a man with a hammer, and the other had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl, authorities said.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Two Chester County residents who were deported and then reentered the country again have been sentenced, authorities said.
Marcos Mendoza-Jimenez, 43, of West Chester will spend the next 24 months behind bars, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.
Mendoza-Jimenez, who is a Mexican citizen, first entered the United States back in 2004.

Authorities caught on to him after he had an altercation with a man in which he held him prisoner inside a car while threatening him with a hammer, according to police.
Mendoza-Jimenez was later convicted on theft, assault, and false imprisonment charges, and deported.

He later returned to the country in 2016. Officials said he was accused of assaulting a woman he was dating in 2018.
When his two year sentence is up, Mendoza-Jimenez will be deported back to Mexico.
The second local man arrested was Walter Morales-Lopez, 33, a Kennett Square resident.
Morales-Lopez first came to the country in 2011 and was deported shortly therafter for the first time. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, he returned and began a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
He was convicted of illegal reentry, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors, and child luring, along with related counts. He was sentenced to time served, and will be immediately deported, authorities said.
