3 PA State Troopers Involved In Shooting Incident In Chesco
Breaking: No one was hit by any of the bullets as troopers attempted to arrest the suspect following a chase.

Three Pennsylvania State Troopers fired their weapons while attempting to take a suspect into custody on Wednesday night, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. No one was injured in the incident.
Police attempted to pull over a Saturn on Route 1 near Route 796 in Avondale at around 11:21 p.m. Wednesday. The driver, Brian Touchton, had an expired registration, according to the DA's Office.
Touchton, however, refused to pull over, fleeing down Route 1. Troopers attempted to box his car in, and he eventually stopped in an open area where mushroom compost was stored on Old Baltimore Pike, authorities said.

When police got out of their vehicles and began to approach, however, Touchton threw the Saturn into reverse in another attempt to escape, police said. Three state troopers on the scene fired multiple shots. None of the shots struck Touchton.
The chase continued for a short time until Touchton's vehicle became stuck in some underbrush nearby and he surrendered, police said.

He is being charged with fleeing and eluding, DUI, and driving with a suspended license. Police said additional charges could be filed pending an investigation.
Chester County Detectives will investigate the incident, as they do with all officer-involved shootings. Alongside a team from the state police, they will determine if the shooting was justified.
