Join us for our 6th annual 5K for Aidan J. Run/Walk for Heart-Safe Communities!!! We're looking forward to yet another fun-filled event for the whole family to enjoy-- from the 5K Run and the 1 Mile Family Walk-- to the Kids Races in the outfield and the great raffle prizes for all! We're looking forward to awarding more "First 5K-ers" also! New Awards this Year! Since this 5K is the day before Father's Day, we'll have a special award for all the dads who run the 5K with their kids! And... this year, we'll be giving out Team Awards! Prizes will be given to the fastest team and to the team with the most participating members-- and this can be a 1 Mile Walk team or a 5K Run team! Create or join a team when you register. Event Schedule – 8:00am: Check-in and Race Day Registration opens; 8:55am: Opening Ceremony; 9:15am: 5K start; 9:20am: 1 Mile Family Walk starts; 10:15am: Kids Races begin (ages 2-12); 10:45am: Closing Ceremonies. This year, the raffle will be ongoing-- no need to wait until Closing Ceremonies to find out if you won! Registration rates* are: Adult (21+) = $25; Teen (13-20) = $15; Kids (2-12) = $10**. *All rates will increase $5 on the day of the race for those who register at the door. Online registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, June 15th. ** You will not see an option to register your kid(s) for the Kids Races until you register yourself for either the 5K Run or the 1 Mile Walk. Once your registration information is entered, you will then be able to "Add Registrant", and a check-box menu will allow you to select the event(s) that your child(ren) would like to participate in. Each child's registration fee is $10, regardless whether they participate in the 5K, the Walk, the Kids Races, or any two of these events. The 5K races will again be chip-timed, and all runners and 1 mile walkers will receive bibs. Bryn Mawr Race Management will be providing chip-timing services for runners. Runner results will be posted immediately on a flat-screen and online. All registered runners may participate in the family walk and/or the kids races. Please, no dogs for any event. Strollers are permitted for 1 Mile Family Walk but not for the 5K Run due to limited space on the trail. Aidan's Heart Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization as recognized by the IRS.
