80-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle In Chester Co.

PAOLI, PA — An 80-year-old man died Monday after being hit by a car in the Paoli section of Tredyffrin Township, police said.

The incident occurred at around 10:18 a.m. at the intersection of South Valley Road and Lancaster Avenue .

Police have not released the victim's identity, as they are notifying the family.

The vehicle was making a right turn from South Valley Road onto eastbound Lancaster Avenue, police said.

The driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

Witnesses in other vehicles as well as nearby business owners also helped at the scene.

Tredyffrin Police officers were assisted by the Chester County Serious Crash Assistance Team, Tredyffrin Township Public Works Department, the Paoli Fire Company, and Newtown Fire Police while processing the crash scene and conducting the investigation.
