AAA's 'Building Blocks' Program to Support West Chester Friends School

AAA's school supply drive will support some of the classrooms and students in the region in the greatest need.

In an effort to help local schools, AAA Mid-Atlantic will collect school supplies through September 15 at more than 60 AAA locations including its retail and car care centers, according to a press release issued Wednesday.

Schools around the Philadelphia area will benefit from the drive.

The campaign, “Building Blocks to Support Our Future Members,” encourages AAA associates, members and the general public to donate new, unused school supplies, the release states.

Some of the most urgently needed supplies include pencils, composition books and folders. The local schools supported by the collection drive are chosen by AAA associates and after the donations are collected, AAA associates will deliver the supplies to their chosen school, they said.

“AAA cares deeply about the communities in which we live and serve,” says Jana Tidwell, Manager of Public and Government Affairs, in a statement. “AAA aims to ensure that students have what they need when they get to school, which takes pressure off children and families and gets the school year started right.”
