2. Measles Case Count Rises To 56 In Chester County (patch.com) — Residents in and around West Chester are being warned as Chester County's measles outbreak grows to 56 confirmed cases, the highest in Pennsylvania outside Lancaster and Mifflin counties. Health officials urge locals to confirm their immunity, explaining how blood tests and vaccination can protect against this highly contagious but largely preventable disease.
3. 4. Mark Your Calendars for Lights Up! Holiday Weekends in West Chester and the 2026 Christmas Parade (wmmr.com) — Downtown West Chester will again light up for Lights Up! Holiday Weekends from November 27, 2026, through January 3, 2027, with 80,000 lights, shopping, dining, and free Santa photos by the 28-foot tree. Kesher Israel Hires New Director of Education (jewishexponent.com) — West Chester's Kesher Israel Congregation is starting the religious school year with more than 100 students and a new education director, Rabbi Cantor Devorah Frick. Drawing on her Air Force service, musical training, and experience as a congregational rabbi, she plans to deepen youth engagement, expand music in services with Rabbi Sam Yolen, and support local families through long-term programming.
