AREA RESIDENTS ACCESS NEEDED SERVICES ON "GET IT DONE DAY"

500 screenings/enrollments/connections made by nearly 100 attendees and more than two dozen service providers

Connecting Chester County residents with the area’s network of social services was the purpose behind “Get It Done Day,” a joint effort between ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester, the Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center, Bridge of Hope of Lancaster & Chester County, Chester County Health Department, Home of the Sparrow, and The Salvation Army of West Chester that took place October 12 at the Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center in West Chester.

More than 500 screenings/enrollments/connections were made as participants learned more about job readiness and placement services, housing/shelter services, received financial and budget counseling, opened savings and checking accounts, applied for loans, and took advantage of health screenings and free flu shots.
