Attempted Homicide Arrest Made In West Chester: Cops

The victim suffered a large laceration and a collapsed lung as the suspect fled the scene, police said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A man has been arrested in West Chester on attempted homicide charges after stabbing another man last month, police said.

Odell Anthony Johnson, 23, of Coatesville, faces numerous charges in connection with the incident.

It occurred on Nov. 30 at around 10:25 a.m. on the 600 block of Downingtown Pike.

It's not yet clear what led to the confrontation. Johnson stabbed the victim multiple times, causing a large laceration and a collapsed lung, police said.

He then fled the scene on foot before police arrived.

Johnson turned himself in to police on Dec. 6.

A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
