Blood Donations: Red Cross Sets Up In Chester Co.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The American Red Cross is holding a massive blood drive in May, allowing Pennsylvanians to do their small part to help solve a massive problem.

If you're able to donate blood, it's always a good idea to do so. A pint of blood, about a tenth of your total supply, replenishes itself quickly and can save up to three lives, according to the American Red Cross.

"Many people don’t realize that blood can only come from generous volunteer donors. It can’t be manufactured, and there’s no substitute," said Alana Mauger of the American Red Cross.

A person in America needs blood once every two seconds.
