Brandywine Valley SPCA Welcomes Rescued Dogs From Puerto Rico To West Chester

43 dogs rescued from Puerto Rico arrived at the Chester County shelter Monday night.

WEST CHESTER, PA — 43 dogs rescued from Puerto Rico arrived at the Brandywine Valley SPCA's Chester County shelter on Monday night.

Ravaged by hurricanes and left without basic necessities in many places, conditions have grown increasingly worse in Puerto Rico. Crews from the Brandywine Valley SCPA were dispatched last Thursday to the island.

The shelter says that one of their staff crews has been heading up animal care in Puerto Rico.

The SPCA has also played an important role in Hurricane Harvey relief in Houston.

The shelter took in more than 120 animals from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
