Budweiser's Clydesdale Horses Are Returning To West Chester
The majestic Budweiser Clydesdale horses will parade through downtown West Chester later on this month.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The majestic Budweiser Clydesdale horses will parade through downtown West Chester later on this month, the borough has announced.
The horses will trot down Gay and Market Streets to deliver Budweiser beer to several local bars and restaurants.
The event will take place at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 31.

The traveling horses, a symbol of the Anheuser-Busch company since 1933, make hundreds of appearances throughout the year, and have previously participated in events in other local municipalities like Ambler, Pottstown, and Royersford.
According to organizers, Budweiser Clydesdale horses must be at least three years old, six feet tall, and weigh 200 pounds.

During the early 20th century, the Clydesdales delivered beer by wagon. They traveled with a dalmatian to protect the horses and their goods while they were on the road.
