A Chester County has been charged with three counts of attempted homicide after police said she fired several shots inside a local home.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A Chester County landlord has been charged with multiple counts of attempted homicide after police said she fired several shots inside a home near her tenants, the District Attorney's Office announced Thursday.
The incident occurred on Jan. 19 on the 1100 block of Valley Station Road in Valley Township.
Nijmeh May Shihadeh, 43, the landlord of the home, believed that one of the tenants had stolen liquor from her earlier that night, the DA's Office said.

Shihadeh entered the home without permission at 3:30 a.m., began arguing with one of the tenants, then went upstairs where another tenant was sleeping and pointed the gun in his face, police said.
During the altercation, all three tenants tried to get the Shihadeh to leave, but she refused, pointing the gun in the face of one of them and then firing a shot into the floor, according to the DA's Office.

She then fired at least one more shot inside the home, breaking a bottle, before leaving, police said.
One of the tenants called 911 for help, and two of the tenants escaped out of the third floor window onto the roof, according to the DA.
At least four more rounds were fired by Shihadeh immediately outside of the property, with one bullet striking the door frame and another striking a vehicle, police said.
Shihadeh was arrested shortly thereafter, and charged with three counts of attempted homicide, burglary, and, due to a previous conviction, firearms charges.
Bail was set at $1 million, which she failed to post, and she was booked at Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 27.
