Chesco Man Steals $1M Off Condo Associations; Buys $867K Home: DA
The man used misleading emails and forgery to steal the money, using it to pay debts and to purchase an $867,000 home, authorities said.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A Chester County man has been arrested for stealing nearly $1 million from local condominium associations, the District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday.
William C. Huyler III, 40, of East Marlborough, has been charged with theft, forgery, and related counts.
Huyler, who worked in a high position at East Hill Property Management, employed a variety of deceptions to make the thefts between Jan. 2017 and Nov. 2018, the DA said. He targeted two different associations: Goshen Valley III Condominium Association in East Goshen, and Kings Mill at Kings Grant Condominium Association in Marlton, New Jersey.

His methods included misleading email exchanges with condo board members and bank representatives, money laundering using multiple bank accounts, false entries on the memo line in checks, and an array of forged documents.
In turn, he used the money stolen from the association to pay off personal and business credit debt, as well as purchasing a home for $867,698, the DA said.

Bail was set at $250,000. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 9.
