Chester County Boy Hailed As Hero, Helps Save Overdose Victim

COATESVILLE, PA -- A recent overdose victim has a little boy to thank for his life, police said.
The incident occurred recently in Coatesville, when a young boy named Amari was looking outside the window of his home. He noticed that something was wrong with a person outside.
Amari called to his mother and reported what he saw, and his mother quickly called 911.

His actions helped to save the life of the individual, who was suffering from an opioid overdose, according to authorities.
Coatesville's Officer Batykefer arrived on the scene and administered a dose of Narcan, ultimately reviving the victim.

Police called Amara "an observant and caring young man" and for his troubles, issued him a "ticket" for $10 through the Kids Klub Savings Account with Coatesville Savings Bank.
"Amari helped save a life and now he can start saving his money as well. We're sure that the tellers at CSB will be happy to see him," police said.
