Chester County Woman Stabbed Mother 10 Times: DA

Police arrived at shared home to find the mother laying face down in a pool of blood, and her daughter holding a large knife, the DA said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A Chester County woman stabbed her mother numerous times after an altercation side their shared home over the weekend, the District Attorney's Office announced Monday.

Alexis L. Wilson, 30, of Downingtown, faces numerous charges in connection with the incident.

It occurred on Saturday, April 12 in their home on the 200 block of Highland Avenue.

It's not yet clear what led to the attack. Authorities characterized it as a domestic dispute that turned violent.

During the attack, Wilson used a large silver knife to stab her mother about 10 times, the DA said. The wounds stretched from the victim's right cheek to the bottom of her back.

When police arrived on the scene they found the mother laying face down in a pool of blood, blood smeared on the walls, and Wilson holding the large knife, the DA said.

The victim was taken to the intensive care unit at Paoli Hospital and placed in a medically induced coma, officials said.

Wilson was arrested immediately and charged with aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, and numerous related counts. She was taken to Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
