Chesterbrook Academy Campers Donate to Alex’s Lemonade Stand
Campers sold soft pretzels and lemonade to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer
Summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Exton recently raised more than $100 to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research, supporting families and raising awareness to help cure childhood cancer. Students hosted a Pretzel and Lemonade Day, where fellow students, families, staff and teachers donated a dollar to enjoy a soft pretzel and cup of lemonade. After their donation, students read the book "Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand," which tells a story about how the small act of one person can have an impact on many people. Through this initiative, campers learned the importance of helping children in need.
