Chesterbrook Academy Campers Raise Money for Children with Cancer

Summer campers presented their donation to foundation president, Cheryl Colleluori, who also read to them

On July 19, summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Chadds Ford presented a check for nearly $300 to the president of the HEADstrong Foundation, Cheryl Colleluori. To raise money for the organization, campers hosted a Fourth of July art show, followed by a lemonade and popcorn stand. After accepting the donation, Cheryl read her book, “Laced Together,” which she wrote about her son and founder of the program, Nick Colleluori, who lost his battle with cancer in 2006. Cheryl wrote the children’s book to assist the organization in educating and empowering elementary school students throughout the country. Through this initiative, campers learned the importance of helping children in the community.
