Dogs Stranded By Hurricane Harvey Coming To West Chester
The Brandywine Valley SPCA is taking in dogs displaced by Hurricane Harvey.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Hurricane Harvey has left thousands of Texans displaced from their homes, and pets have been no different. Shelters in the Houston area have reached capacity, and West Chester-based Brandywine Valley SPCA is taking in dozens of stranded animals to help find them new homes.
According to the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in New Jersey, the SPCA is one of several regional shelters that will be assisting with pet care and relief from Harvey.
58 shelters in the region participate in the program to help address dogs left behind in their local shelters.
