Friends of Marshall Square Park to Host 'Pints for Park' at Spout
Marshall Square Park is West Chester's first public space, dedicated in 1878.

WEST CHESTER, PA – Friends of Marshall Square Park (FMSP) neighborhood organization will host a “Pints for the Park” gathering at Sprout Music Collective, 130 E. Prescott Alley in West Chester on Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 6-8PM.
Nonmembers of Sprout pay $5 for a club membership, but the event is otherwise free. Guests will enjoy complimentary small plates, drink specials and free FMSP tote bags for those who opt to join the organization during the event. Members of FMSP will be available to discuss the park’s long history, the current fountain restoration, summer concerts, fall and winter social events and more.
Marshall Square Park is West Chester’s first public space, dedicated in 1878. The park is named in honor of Humphry Marshall, a world-renowned botanist from Chester County. Known for its monument honoring the 97thRegiment in the Civil War, its gazebo, its Swiss cottage and its tree cover, the park is today both a hub of community activity and a popular relaxing spot for local residents.

Friends of Marshall Square Park is a group of concerned neighbors formed to support the care, preservation and improvement of our Park for the benefit of the citizens of the Borough of West Chester.
The organization works to preserve the park, including the arboretum, landscape and all historic structures, including the historic fountain currently being reinstalled after almost a hundred years. It serves to represent a concerned community by its participation with the Borough, social and other activities.
