GIANT Food Stores expands fresh meal kits to West Grove store

GIANT Food Stores today announced the expansion of its fresh meal kit program to six additional stores. Each kit features pre-measured fresh ingredients to make two servings of the selected meal as well as step by step instructions. GIANT’S fresh meal kits will be featured in the produce, meat or deli sections.

“Our fresh meal kits are a budget-friendly, quick way to help our customers get a delicious, convenient home-cooked meal on the table,” said Erik Keptner, senior vice president of sales, merchandising and marketing, GIANT. “Our customers save time and eat well because we use fresh meats and produce with pre-measured ingredients.”

The fresh meal kits, which will vary by season, are easy to prepare and cook in 35 minutes or less. Varieties currently include:

· Bacon and feta cheese stuffed chicken breasts with roasted Yukon gold potato wedges and garlic roasted broccoli

· Asian style pork stir fry with white rice

· Lemon thyme chicken thighs with zucchini, grape tomatoes and white rice

· Peppercorn steak with creamy blue cheese sauce, chive mashed potatoes, and garlic roasted broccoli and cauliflower

· Salmon risotto with asparagus and parmesan

GIANT’S fresh meal kits can now be found at the following stores:

· 1201 Knapp Road, North Wales

· 600 E. Lancaster Ave., Reading

· 1824 Ridge Pike, Royersford

· 255 Northland Center, State College

· 275 Pauline Dr., York

· 849 W. Baltimore St., West Grove

Approximately 20 GIANT locations throughout Central Pennsylvania, greater Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley currently offer these fresh meal kits. In addition, Peapod customers can also order the kits for delivery. The cost for one kit, which serves two people, is $14.99 and two kits to serve four people is $24.99.
