Man Brandishes Handgun During Armed Robbery In West Chester: Cops

The man entered the store, brandished the handgun, and demanded cash, police said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Authorities are investigating after an armed robbery at a store in West Chester Thursday night.

The incident occurred at around 8:25 p.m. on the 300 block of W. Chestnut Street, police said.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic man, brandished a handgun as he entered the Nuevo Mexico store and demanded cash, according to authorities.

He was inside the store for about 30 seconds as he collected $300 cash, and then fled on foot west down W. Chestnut Street.

He is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighs about 150 pounds.
