Girl Missing 2 Years Found In Chester Co., Mom Arrested: Marshals

The five-year-old girl had been missing from Montana for two years, authorities said.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A woman who abducted her daughter from her home in 2017 was arrested in Chester County over the weekend, authorities said. The five-year-old daughter was safely recovered and will be reunited with her family.

Tracy Rearden 32, had been wanted for felony charges of custodial interference in Great Falls, Montana, after unlawfully taking her daughter.

The U.S. Marshals Service discovered that Rearden might be visiting a friend's home in the Exton area early Saturday. She was arrested without incident at the home, where her daughter was also located.

Rearden faces additional charges after two firearms were found in her possession.

She was booked in Chester County Prison and will be extradited to Montana shortly. Her daughter will be returned to the custody of her father, officials said.
