Homicide Suspect Charged After Long Standoff At West Goshen Hotel
The DA noted "an extreme risk of additional violence," and praised the work of officers who handled the standoff.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The man arrested following a lengthy standoff at a West Goshen hotel this week has been identified as a man wanted for the recent killing of a woman in Lancaster County, authorities said.
Matthew J. Moser, 31, of Honey Brook, was taken into custody following the incident at the Quality Inn Hotel, located on 943 High Street.
Moser barricaded himself inside a room for hours, beginning at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, police said.

Dozens of people were evacuated from the hotel as officers tried to get Moser to come out.
"This situation presented an extreme risk of additional violence, and it was the fine work and collaboration between multiple agencies that prevented that from happening,” Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams said Wednesday.

It was not until the evening hours that Moser was finally taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police.
Just a few days before, Moser killed his girlfriend, Kristin Graham, inside the home they shared in Caernavon Township in Lancaster County, police said. It's believed she was killed on March 1.
Officers were dispatched to the home at around 6 p.m. on March 2 for a welfare check, and found her dead.
An ensuing investigation determined that Moser had told several people he hurt Graham, according to police.
No bail is provided for first degree murder charges, and Moser was taken to Lancaster County Prison. A preliminary hearing is set for March 17.
