Timotheos Petrin, cello, cello

Mr. Petrin is a winner of the Astral Artists’ 2015 National Auditions. A native of Thessaloniki, Greece, Russian-Greek cellist Timotheos Petrin has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician across Europe, Asia, and North America. Mr. Petrin has appeared as a soloist with the Athens State Symphony Orchestra, the Thessaloniki State Symphony orchestra, the Greek Turkish Youth Orchestra, the Kennett Square Symphony Orchestra and has served as principal cellist of the Curtis Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Petrin is a Lelia A. Wike Fellow at the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studies with Carter Brey and Peter Wiley. As part of “Curtis on Tour,” he has appeared at Kumho Art Hall (Seoul), Taipei National University of the Arts, Lee Hysan Concert Hall (Hong Kong), and the Hochschule für Music Carl Maria von Weber (Dresden).

Sejoon Park, piano

Mr. Park is a winner of the Astral Artists’ 2014 National Auditions. Sejoon Park was born to cellist parents in Seoul, Korea, and made his orchestral debut with Korea’s Busan Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of ten. Mr. Park has received top prizes from the New Orleans International Piano Competition, the PianoArts Competition, the Southeastern Piano Competition, and the King Award for Young Artists. A PianoArts Fellow and Volunteer Artist for Sing for Hope, Mr. Park participates in musical outreach activities across the United States. Mr. Park holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of The John Hopkins University and a Master’s degree from The Julliard School. He is currently continuing studies as an Artist Diploma candidate at the Peabody Institute.
