New Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Site Opens In West Chester
West Chester area residents now have another free coronavirus testing option.
WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester area residents now have another free coronavirus testing option.
The CVS location on 760 Miles Road officially began offering free tests on Friday, May 15. It's one of nine new CVS testing sites around Pennsylvania.
The drive-thru test will provide self-swabs and instructions to individuals. Patients must stay in their vehicles at all times.

You must register online ahead of time at the CVS website here. The registration form requires you to answer a few questions to determine your eligibility. They are following the CDC criteria for offering testing, which includes anyone with symptoms, anyone who works or lives in a long term care facility, first responders, and more.
Tests will be sent to a third-party lab and should be available for patients in about three days.

“We are grateful for CVS's partnership in combating COVID-19 by bringing more testing options to our communities and working to further understand the presence of the disease,” Gov. Wolf said in a statement. “We look forward to working with CVS to implement our comprehensive testing strategy, which will serve as a critical aspect of Pennsylvania's phased reopening."
CVS is offering the testing at 51 locations nationwide to start. They hope to expand to 1,000 stores by the end of May, with goal of processing 1.5 million tests per month.
Nearby CVS locations in Philadelphia, Richboro, and Lansdale are also offering the test now.
