Students at Chesterbrook Academy(R) Preschool in Lionville Get "Buggy" in Celebration of Earth Day

On April 22, students released thousands of ladybugs to help improve the health of local vegetation

On April 22, students at Chesterbrook Academy preschool on Tanner Drive in Lionville explored a bug’s life in celebration of Earth Day as they released thousands of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students dressed for the occasion in the likeness of ladybugs, wearing red and black colors and antennae. Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
