Trio Used Child To Hide Gas Station Cashier's View Of Skimming Device In Chesco: Police
The suspects used a child to block the cashier's view while they put a skimmer on the credit card reader, West Whiteland police said.

EXTON, PA — Three people used a child to distract a cashier as they placed a skimming device on a gas station credit card reader, police in Chester County said.
West Whiteland Police released images of three people they say put the card skimming device in the 7-11/Exxon Store at 103 North Pottstown Pike in Exton on Monday. Police are looking to identify them.
Police said the trio distracted a gas station employee, while two people put a skimming device on the machine at the main cash register. They also put "a small child" on the counter to block the cashier's line of sight, police said.

The trio entered the store at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, and police removed the reader the next day when store representatives called them. Police say anyone who went to the 7/11 and used a credit or debit card between 8:30 Oct. 3 and noon Oct. 4 should check their bank accounts, and report any suspicious activity to police.
"It might not be immediate and depends if the actors were able to download any information from the card reader," police said.
