U.S. 202 Lanes Will Be Shut Down This Week For Work Over Amtrak Rails

Lanes on U.S. 202 will be shut down next week for construction on bridges over Amtrak rail lines.

Lanes on U.S. 202 will be shut down next week for construction on bridges over Amtrak rail lines, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The construction will take place in East and West Whiteland townships, but the traffic impact will likely expand into the neighboring areas.

According to PennDOT, the schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, March 26, through Thursday, March 30, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 202 between the U.S. 30 and Boot Road interchanges; and
  • Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 202 between the U.S. 30 and Boot Road interchanges.

This is part of an ongoing $26.4 million project to complete repairs on 202.

Motorists should plan for extra time when traveling in this area.
