US News Ranks WCU a Top 10 Public & Top 50 Regional University

West Chester University has broken into the Top 10 on U.S. News’ 2021 list of Top
Public Regional Universities North, rising to #10 from #12 last year.

The University has advanced among Regional Universities North (both public and private
institutions), up to #50 from #55 in 2020.

And the University remains a Best Value Regional Universities North, coming in at
#50.

WCU is listed among the top 25 Best Colleges for Veterans (Regional Universities North)
at #23, moving up from #31. For 2021, WCU is listed as Best Undergraduate Teaching
Regional Universities North #11. WCU also advanced among Top Performing Universities
in Social Mobility, rising to #136 from #145.

Now in their 36th year, the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings’ latest edition assesses 1,452 U.S. bachelor's degree-granting institutions
on 17 measures of academic quality. The data used in these rankings pertain to fall
2019 and earlier.

New this year, U.S. News ranked the Best Undergraduate Computer Science Programs (Overall),
with WCU making the second tier.

In addition, WCU was recognized for overall value of its undergraduate business programs.

The U.S. News formula puts an emphasis on outcomes. Overall, the factors that directly
relate to social mobility, graduation and retention rates, graduate indebtedness,
and graduation rate performance have a total weight of 40% in the methodology, outweighing
any other factor in the rankings.

U.S. News publishes the rankings in its college guidebook Best Colleges 2021 and on its website, which also offers the U.S. News College Compass complete rankings
and data.
