Ware Presbyterian Village Announces Renovations and Expansion
Continuing care retirement community will add 61 moderately priced apartments and undergo $10 million renovation
Ware Presbyterian Village, a continuing care retirement (CCRC), announces the addition of Westminster Place at Ware Apartments and anticipated renovations to its Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The 61-unit apartment building will be the first in Pennsylvania to offer moderately priced apartment-style living within a CCRC for individuals 55 and over.
The spacious, well-designed apartments will include 31 one- and two-bedroom rental apartments with income limits applied to those applications. The income ranges for the rental apartments will be announced as they are available from Pennsylvania Housing and Finance Administration (PHFA). Rent will include electric, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, kitchen appliances, in-unit washer and dryer, water, sewer, trash, and ample free parking.
The additional 30 units will offer moderately priced entrance fees starting at $90,000 and monthly fees starting at approximately $1,400. Fees will provide full access to all services and areas of the Ware campus. This will expand the pricing at Ware to a broad offering of entrance fee options ranging from $90,000 to just under $400,000.

Wheelchair accessible as well as hearing and/or vision-impaired units will also be available. The campus is pet-friendly and tobacco free.
The Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will undergo phased renovations over the next 18-24 months, including plans for private rooms, with an expected total cost of $10 million. The transformation will create a more intimate and welcoming environment for residents, family and staff in keeping with modern industry practices. The patient-centered care model will also enhance the community’s ability to provide a dignified and sensitive delivery of service. Information sessions will be held as details are finalized. Currently, the Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation center provides short-stay rehabilitation, skilled nursing services and memory care support for 137 older adults.
