West Chester's annual Chili Cook Off is just days away. Here's what you need to know.

WEST CHESTER, PA — It's that time of year again. West Chester's annual Chili Cook Off is just days away. Here's what you need to know.

The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 14 on Gay Street between N. Walnut Street and N. New Street.

Streets will begin to close at around 7 a.m., so those driving to the area should be aware of complications downtown (a map of closed streets and alternate routes is included below).

A full list of competing teams for 2018 is here. A total of 18 businesses, 14 local cooks and volunteer organizations, eight nonprofits, and nine restaurants are competing.

Wristbands are $10 online or $12 at the gate.

The event is organized by the Rotary Club of West Chester. 2018 will mark the 16th anniversary of the popular event. Around $30,000 was raised to support West Chester area nonprofits in 2017, including Domestic Violence Center of Chester County , Home of the Sparrow, Interfaith Housing Assistance Corp., Volunteer English Program in Chester County, and several more.
