West Chester to Hold National Night Out In August
West Chester's National Night Out celebration is designed to strengthen the relationship between the police department and the community.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Police Department will be holding their annual iteration of National Night Out on Wednesday, August 3, at 6 p.m.
National Night Out is an initiative in which people in towns across the country gather at their homes, on their streets, and at their local community centers in recognition of their support of the community.
It helps strengthen the partnership between the community and police.

The free event is in its fourth year in West Chester.
Many activities and displays will be available for the whole family to enjoy. Finger Printing, Face Painting, and a Moon Bounce, along with many Emergency Vehicles for kids and adults to explore.

The event will be held at 401 E. Gay Street and will run until 9 p.m.
National Association of Town Watch is a non-profit, crime prevention organization which works with thousands of crime watch groups and law enforcement agencies throughout the country, police said. Since 1981, NATW has been dedicated to the development, growth and maintenance of organized crime and drug prevention programs nationwide and has grown to include over 6,500 crime, drug and violence prevention organizations.
