West Chester Package Thief Arrested: Cops

A local man has been arrested for the theft of multiple packages in the West Chester area, police said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A local man has been arrested for the theft of multiple packages in the West Chester area, police said.

Benjamin Brown, 31, of Downingtown, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking and related counts.

A package was stole on Friday, Dec. 13 at 1:22 p.m. on the 100 block of Gay Street, police said.

The victim identified Brown as the suspect.

Further evidence led police to connect Brown to another package theft, on the 100 block of West Miner Street on Dec. 12, they said.

Brown was taken to Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
