West Chester University Students Get Free TV and Movie Streaming

This semester, West Chester is one of four new area schools where students will have free access to stream TV shows and movies.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- This semester, residential students at West Chester University will have free access to stream TV shows and movies on their devices with Xfinity On Campus, a service that lets college students watch live TV and On Demand content on their IP-enabled devices including laptops, tablets and smartphones while on campus, according to a press release.

In addition to West Chester University, three other area schools - including the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University and Villanova University - launched Xfinity On Campus this year. That's in addition to the University of Delaware, Drexel University and Rider University that were already signed on, the release states.

Xfinity said that this year, the service also includes a cloud DVR at no additional cost, allowing students to record up to 20 hours of shows.
