Police are warning the West Chester community about a "potentially dangerous" party that will be held off-campus this weekend.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Police are warning the West Chester community about a "potentially dangerous" party that will be held off-campus this weekend.

West Chester University's Vice President for Student Affairs, Zebulun R. Davenport, said that police presence would be significantly increased this weekend throughout the school area and community as a result.

"West Chester University students are respectful, caring, and civil. I trust that you will celebrate safely and legally," Davenport said.

The school said that arrests would be made for any disruptive behavior, including large crowds gathering on the streets, underage alcohol consumption, and any activities which threaten the safety of others.

The university, and police, were not specific about what danger the party was purported to entail.
