Proposal could address accessible housing shortage (sungazette.com) — Lycoming Housing Authority is weighing a plan that could bring new accessible housing for people with special needs to a property in Williamsport, using project-based vouchers. Leaders say the county lacks enough accessible units, especially for younger disabled residents, and are also outlining millions in upgrades to local public housing complexes. 
2. Central Pennsylvania Food Bank Marks Hunger Action Month Throughout September (pennwatch.org) — Williamsport will host several key Hunger Action Month events, including a Sept. 10 Lycoming County proclamation at 48 West 3rd Street, outreach at First Friday and the Growers Market, and a Sept. 23 Pack‑a‑Thon at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank's local facility. The company says it's cooperating fully and recently issued a service bulletin about potentially out-of-spec exhaust bypass valve springs that need replacement.
