$1,750 In Plan B Contraceptive Thefts Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Lower Makefield Township Police are investigating two thefts by the same suspect of Plan B contraceptives.

7/5/2023

BURGLARY —1000 block of Kathy Drive, reported at 7:56 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) used a hidden key to enter the residence and removed $140 in cash.

SOLICITORS —South Crescent Boulevard and Homestead Drive, reported at 11:07 a.m. The complainant reported solicitors for Guardian Roofing soliciting without permits. They were advised to cease soliciting until permits were obtained.

THEFT —600 block of Rose Hollow Road, reported at 11:29 a.m. The complainant reported an
iPhone 14 was removed from the package.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

  • 1100 block of Evergreen Road, reported at 9:55 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed their driver’s license, CCW permit, and credit cards.
  • 1200 block of Yardley Road, reported at 7:46 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight that an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicles and removed cash, a wallet, and an iPhone.
  • 500 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 6:08 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight that an unknown person(s) removed the catalytic converter from their vehicle.

RETAIL THEFT —600 block of Heacock Road at Rite Aid, reported at 2:39 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown man the store on June 30 and removed 11 boxes of Plan B contraceptives valued at $549.89 without paying. This is the same suspect from the previous Rite Aid theft on June 30. An investigation is ongoing.

7/1/2023

ATTEMPTED THEFT FROM VEHICLE —200 block of Sherwood Drive, reported at 6:28 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown man entered the unlocked vehicle. Nothing was reported missing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

  • 200 block of Forrest Road, reported at 1:31 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight that an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed several credit cards and a debit card. The credit cards were later used in Trenton, N.J.
  • 300 block of Sherwood Drive, reported at 12:43 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight that an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed several credit cards. There were several attempts to use the credit cards in Trenton, NJ.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1600 block of Powderhorn Drive, reported at 9:43 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight that an unknown person(s) damaged their mailbox.

RETAIL THEFT —600 block of Stony Hill Rd. at Rite Aid, reported at 3:25 p.m. An employee reported an unknown man entered the store on June 30 and removed 48 boxes of Plan B contraceptives valued at $1,199.76 without paying. The investigation is ongoing.
