20 BB Gun Shootings Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

Lower Makefield Township Police released its blotter of incidents, including someone shooting out vehicle windows with a BB gun.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —In the course of the week, the Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported 20 incidents in which someone shot out the windows of vehicles with a BB gun overnight.

Those BB gun crimes were among the recent criminal incidents the police department released in its blotter Friday.

IDENTITY THEFT —1500 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 11:30 a.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) opened a bank account in their name.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

  • 100 block of Mountain Oaks Road, reported at 2:29 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s window out with a BB gun.

  • 600 block of Friar Drive, reported at 7:44 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s windows out with a BB gun.
  • 200 block of Forrest Road, reported at 8:22 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s window out with a BB gun.
  • 300 block of Trend Road, reported at 7:59 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s window out with a BB gun.
  • 500 block of Nottingham Drive, reported at 7:45 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s windows out with a BB gun.
  • 300 block of Sherwood Drive, reported at 8:33 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s window out with a BB gun.
  • Unit block of Berkley Drive, reported at 8:07 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s window out with a BB gun.
  • 400 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 8:28 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) struck their mailbox with a vehicle.
  • 300 block of Robin Hood Drive, reported at 8:35 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s windows out with a BB gun.
  • 300 block of Daleview Drive, reported at 7:48 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) egged their vehicle.

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Kohl’s reported at 7:11 p.m. Police responded to the report of a retail theft by a known male at the location. Police confronted the suspect in the parking lot when he refused to comply with police orders and attempted to flee. After a brief struggle, the 46-year-old male from Audubon, NJ, was taken into police custody for taking $264.98 worth of merchandise without paying. The man was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was wanted out of Falls Twp. He was arraigned by District Justice Baranoski and sent to BCP in lieu of $50,000/10 percent bail.

IDENTITY THEFT —2300 block of Lakeview Circle, reported at 9:22 a.m. The complainant reported providing their personal information to who they believed to be Norton-Lifelock. Shortly after, their Gmail, Health Portal, and Microsoft accounts were compromised.

FRAUD —2000 block of Farmview Drive, reported at 11:39 a.m. The complainant reported selling a pair of boots on Facebook Marketplace for $170. An unknown male sent $500 via Zelle then asked for a refund and they realized this was a scam.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:

  • 100 block of Crestview Way reported at 9:45 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s windows out with a BB gun.
  • 100 block of Pinnacle Cir. reported at 4:09 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) shot their vehicle’s window out with a BB gun.

THEFT —1600 block of Fox Hollow Drive, reported at 3:27 p.m. The complainant reported
unknown person(s) altered and cashed checks totaling $8,000.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY —300 block of Arborlea Avenue, reported at 8:14 p.m. The complainant reported arriving home from work to find a ladder up against the home. After checking with the residents inside to see if someone put it there, they went outside and observed an unknown male standing on the garage roof. The man jumped off the roof into the rear yard and fled on foot into the woods.

IDENTITY THEFT —Unit block of Spring Ln. reported at 1:33 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) opened two credit cards in their name.

FRAUD —1600 block of Clydesdale Circle, reported at 3:12 p.m. The complainant reported
unknown person(s) intercepted a check, altered it, and attempted to cash it for $8,000.
