$250K Stolen From Savings Account In Lower Makefield Twp.
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has reported its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week, including one incident in which a man was walking in a roadway in just a sock and shorts.

April 11

THEFTS:
- 1200 block of Polo Run Drive, reported at 10:24 a.m. The complainant reported the theft of a package.
- 900 block of Morgan Drive, reported at 8:19 p.m. The complainant reported a check they wrote was altered and cashed nine times for $150 each time.
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road, at Fine Wine & Good Spirits, reported at 12:17 p.m. The manager reported the theft of $281.56 worth of Hennessey by an unknown man. An investigation is ongoing.

April 10
IDENTITY THEFT – Unit block of South Homestead Drive, reported at 9:50 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) opened an account for electricity in Miami, FL.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —1400 block of Brentwood Road, reported at 12:23 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) removed $5,900 from their debit card and sent to another unknown account.
April 9
THEFT —1200 block of Pine Grove Road, reported at 10:15 a.m. The complainant reported the theft of $250,000 from a savings account. The investigation is ongoing.
FRAUD —200 block of Marble Court, reported at 9:55 a.m. The complainant reported hiring Home Repair LLC to complete work on their residence that was damaged by a hail storm. The insurance check was cashed, but the work has not been completed. The company has not responded to the homeowner’s attempts to contact them. The investigation is ongoing.
DUI ARREST —Township Line Road and Sterling Road, reported at 10:43 p.m. The complainant
reported a disabled vehicle at the location. A further investigation led to the arrest of a 66-year-old Trenton, N.J. man for Driving Under the Influence.
April 8
IDENTITY THEFT —600 block of Rose Hollow Road, reported at 2:15 p.m. The complainant
reported an unknown person(s) attempted to file a tax return in their name.
April 7
DRUG ARREST —Unit block of Oxford Valley Road, reported at 10:05 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A further investigation led to the discovery of 80 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The 19-year-old male passenger from Morrisville was summonsed for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
April 6
THEFT FROM VEHICLE —500 block of South Dove Road, reported at 1:38 p.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight that an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a laptop, Beats headphones, and Air Pods.
FRAUD —2200 Yardley Road, reported at 5:06 p.m. The complainant reported several unauthorized withdrawals from their bank account totaling $21,000.
April 5
FRAUD:
- 1000 block of Lehigh Drive, reported at 11:45 a.m. The complainant reported receiving a fraud alert from their bank for a $2,800 transaction for Draft Kings that they did not authorize.
- 600 block of Woodford Lane, reported at 7:11 p.m. The complainant reported receiving an email from CVS about a refund. They were advised to purchase a $500 gift card and submit it to a link to obtain their refund.
THEFT —1300 block of Moon Drive, reported at 1:45 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime between April 2 and April 5, an unknown person(s) removed the license plate from their vehicle.
SIMPLE ASSAULT ARREST —1600 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 4:06 p.m. Police responded to the report of a man walking on the roadway with one sock, shorts, and no shirt. Police conducted a well-being check and the man appeared to be under the influence of narcotics while walking the wrong way in the roadway. While attempting to stop the man, a struggle ensued, causing the officer to lose his radio. A Good Samaritan called 911 as the officer was not able to get to his radio to call for backup. The man was eventually detained by police. The 43-year-old township man was taken into police custody and charged with Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest,
Disorderly Conduct and pedestrian traffic violations. He was arraigned by District Justice
Wertman and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
