$25K In Fraudulent Credit Card Charges Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported identity theft and credit card fraud among the crimes over the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Identity theft and credit card fraud led to charges on some residents' credit cards.
Those were some of the incidents the Lower Makefield Township Police Department released Friday in its police blotter of crimes over the past week.

5/11/2023
THEFT FROM VEHICLE —2000 block of Waterford Road, reported at 2:41 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of turn signal lenses from their vehicle.

IDENTITY THEFT —700 block of Dawes Drive, reported at 5:52 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) opened a credit card in their name and charged $24,429.

THEFT —1200 block of Wilton Crescent, reported at noon. The complainant reported the theft of a recycling bin.
5/9/2023
CREDIT CARD FRAUD —1600 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 11:03 a.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $463.50.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS —1700 block of Quarry Road. at Grey Nun Academy, reported at 2:33 p.m. While on patrol in the area, police heard a sounding alarm from this location. Contact was made with the property owner who reviewed surveillance footage and determined multiple juveniles entered on May 7 at about 7:30 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
THEFT —1600 block of Powderhorn Drive, reported at 6:19 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a package from the front porch caught on surveillance. The investigation is ongoing.

THEFT —900 block of Stony Hill Road, reported at 10:28 a.m. The complainant reported the theft
of $3,000 worth of welding material from a construction site.
SOLICITORS —900 block of Putnam Drive, reported at 1:42 p.m. The complainant reported a
solicitor for Vision Roofing soliciting without a permit. They were advised to cease soliciting until permits were obtained.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1300 block of Apple Blossom Dr., reported at 11:39 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) egged the residence.

IDENTITY THEFT —1000 block of Randolph Drive, reported at 2:34 p.m. The complainant reported that several accounts were opened in their name.
