He ran unopposed and was elected to a four-year seat in November 2023.
Perry resigned his seat on Jan. 9, one week after he took the oath of office as a newly elected councilman representing the Fourth Ward.
Meanwhile, the council appointed an interim borough manager to succeed Judith Danko, who recently resigned, after serving three years in the position.
Danko came under scrutiny at the end of last year when it was raised that the borough was paying for her hotel expenses.
James Dillon was unanimously named by the council to serve as the interim borough manager.
Dillon is currently the full-time manager for Bristol Borough, where he has worked since 2004.
Bristol Borough’s council president authorized lending Dillon to Morrisville on a short-term basis during the manager search.
The council agreed to the employment contract for Dillon but did not disclose his salary.
