$30K Swiped In Online Fraud In Lower Makefield Township: Police
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported that a resident said they were duped out of $30,000 online from someone from Ohio.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported its police blotter of criminal incidents over the past week, including a $30,000 online fraud case.
- Shoplifting —1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite. Reported at 1:33 p.m. Monday. Loss Prevention reported three unknown men entered the store and removed $25.17 worth of merchandise without paying. They fled in a black Honda Accord. The investigation is ongoing.
- Vandalism —2000 block of Beacon Hill Dr. Reported at 3:16 p.m. Sunday. The complainant reported someone threw a rock through their second-floor window.
- Weapons Violation —Rt. 1 & Oxford Valley Rd. Reported at 9:17 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 34-year-old Philadelphia man for possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana.
- Fraud —100 block of Taylorsville Rd. Reported at 1:36 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18. The complainant reported online fraud in the amount of $30,000 by an unknown suspect in Ohio.
