Burglary, 16 Shopping Cart Thefts Top Morrisville Crimes

The Morrisville Borough Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents.

MORRISVILLE, PA —A cat was stolen from an apartment. Another apartment was ransacked while the owner was away. And two women stole 16 shopping carts from Giant.

Those were some of the criminal incidents released by the Morrisville Police Department Monday in its blotter of criminal for the period of July 25 to Aug. 7.

Theft —July 25, 10:22 p.m. Report of a 1-year-old male cat stolen from an apartment on Plaza Boulevard. The cat is wearing a blue collar and is chipped. Value: $200.

Arrest/Criminal Mischief —July 26, 8:29 p.m. A 34-year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief, theft, loitering and prowling, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct and for an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. He was processed and sent to Bucks County Prison.

Arrest/Warrant —July 27, 9:25 p.m. A 22-year-old man was arrested during a traffic stop on East Bridge Street and N. Pennsylvania Avenue for an active warrant from Arlington, Va. He was processed and sent to Bucks County Prison.

Arrest/Warrant —July 28, 7:37 a.m. A 32-year-old woman was arrested during an incident at the 7-11 on South Pennsylvania Avenue for an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. He was processed and released to the Bucks County Sheriffs.

Motor Vehicle Theft —July 28, 8:02 a.m. Report of a 2008 Dodge Durano stolen overnight on Doloro Drive. The vehicle was recovered by the Trenton Police Department on July 29. Value: $4,000.

Arrest/Disorderly Conduct —July 29, 6:39 a.m. A 45-year-old man and a 53-year-old man were cited for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on the West Bridge Street.

Arrest/Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness —July 29, 10:56 a.m. A 23-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and a 70-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on Barnsley Avenue.

Arrest/DUI —July 29, 9:43 p.m. A 26-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence during a traffic stop on East Bridge Street and S. Delmorr Avenue. He was processed and released.

Arrest/Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle —July 30, 9:28 a.m. A 32-year-old woman will receive a summons to court for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Green Street.

Theft —July 31, 10:55 a.m. Report of a package containing bank checks was stolen on East Hendrickson Avenue. Value: $50.

Arrest/Warrant/Drug Possession —July 31, 8:36 p.m. A 22-year-old man was arrested for drug possession during a traffic stop on West Bridge Street and an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. He was processed and sent to Bucks County Prison.

Arrest/Harassment —July 31, 11:16 p.m. A 44-year-old woman was cited for harassment for a domestic incident on Doloro Drive.

Robbery —Aug. 3, 8:17 a.m. Report of a robbery at Smokers Choice on S. Delmorr Avenue. There is an ongoing investigation.

Arrest/Public Drunkenness —Aug. 3, 1:13 p.m. A 64-year-old woman was cited for public drunkenness for an incident that occurred on North Pennsylvania and West Maple avenues.

Burglary —Aug. 3, 2:23 p.m. Report of multiple items stolen from an apartment on Plaza Boulevard while the victim was hospitalized. Value: $2,600.

Theft—Aug. 3, 6:20 p.m. A 46-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman were charged with stealing 16 shopping carts from the Giant Food Store on West Trenton Avenue. Value: $3,300.

Arrest/Harassment —Aug. 5, 9:04 p.m. A female juvenile was cited for harassment after an incident on Center Street.

Arrest/Public Drunkenness/Underage Drinking —Aug. 5, 9:42 p.m. A male juvenile was cited for public drunkenness and underage drinking for an incident on South Washington Street and Delaware Avenue.

Motor Vehicle Theft —Aug. 6, 11:03 p.m. – Report of a 2002 GMC Envoy was stolen overnight on West Bridge Street. Value: $4,000.
