Burglary, Attempted Burglary Of Homes Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Residents reported a burglary and an attempted burglary of homes this past week in the township.

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department Friday reported its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.

The incidents include:

5/24/2023

IDENTITY THEFT —1700 block of Kathy Drive, reported at 10:10 a.m. The complainant reported a known person opened a Cash App account in their name.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —200 block of West Ferry Road, reported at 11:55 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and ransacked it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.

FRAUD —300 block of North Fieldstone Court, reported at 2:22 p.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $266.72.

5/23/2023

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —Unit block of West Ferry Road, reported at 11:40 a.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed $1,000.

5/22/2023

IDENTITY THEFT —1800 block of Iverness Drive, reported at 1:15 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) filed a tax return in their name.

FRAUD —Unit block of Riverdale Road, reported at 2:43 p.m. The complainant reported an
unauthorized Cash App transfer from their debit card.

5/20/2023

BURGLARY —1200 block of University Drive, reported at 2:19 a.m. Police responded to the report of a burglary in progress at the location. Further investigation revealed the homeowners heard footsteps and loud commotion downstairs. An unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence via a rear window and removed a car key fob. Nothing else was reported missing at this time.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY —1200 block of University Drive, reported at 10:50 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) attempted to force entry into the residence via a rear window.

5/19/2023

FRAUD —600 block of Bayberry Lane, reported at 4:01 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.
