Cause Of Death Revealed Of Remains Found In Lower Makefield Cemetery
The Bucks County Coroner's Office concluded an autopsy on the human remains of a man found in a cemetery in April following a vehicle fire.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bucks County Coroner's Office has concluded the autopsy of the human remains of a man found in a township cemetery in April.
The Coroner's Office told Patch Tuesday that the cause of death of John Motyka, 74, of Morrisville, has been deemed accidental.
The body of Motyka was found in the driver’s seat on April 3 following a vehicle fire at the St. Ignatius Cemetery off River Road.

The Coroner's Office said Motyka died of smoke and soot inhalation and thermal injuries.
Police and the Yardley-Makefield Fire Department responded to the River Road cemetery for the report of a fire at the rear of the cemetery property.

Deputy Police Chief Bob Lewis said that the owner has been identified of the vehicle that was parked in the St. Ignatius Cemetery off River Road.
Lewis did not identify the owner but said the car was registered locally. He also said that the vehicle was not reported stolen.
