COVID Masks, Airport Parking Pass Thefts Top Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported numerous burglaries from vehicles, including cologne and two pairs of Yeezy shoes.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —With the pandemic still on the radar, even thieves need to take safety precautions.
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported in its recent blotter of criminal incidents that COVID masks were swiped from a vehicle, an airport security pass and some cologne, all in separate incidents.

Burglary From Motor Vehicle —300 block of Michael Road, reported at 9:11 a.m. Dec. 23. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
DUI Arrest —Route 332 and Stony Hill Road, reported at 3:53 p.m. Dec. 23. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 39-year-old man from Trenton, N.J., for Driving Under the Influence.

DUI Arrest —Dolington Road and Quarry Road, reported at 10:50 p.m. Police responded to the report of a one-vehicle accident at the location. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 72-year-old Lower Makefield Township man for Driving Under the Influence.
Shoplifting —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 5:02 p.m. Dec. 23. Loss Prevention reported an unknown male removed four steaks totaling $129.52 without paying.
Burglary From Motor Vehicle —300 block of Saly Road, reported at 11:28 a.m. Dec. 23. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed two pairs of Yeezy shoes and cologne.
Burglary From Motor Vehicle —300 block of Saly Road, reported at 8:20 p.m. Dec. 23. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed an airport parking pass.
Burglary From Motor Vehicle —300 block of Michael Road, reported at 8:26 p.m., Dec. 23. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed COVID masks.
Attempted Theft From Vehicle —600 block of Nancy Road, reported at 1:13 p.m., Dec. 23. The complainant reported sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was reported missing at this time.
Theft —200 block of Oxford Valley Road at Heartis, reported at 3:47 p.m. Dec. 23. The complainant reported that about $100 was stolen from their purse.
